Dental implants are titanium posts that are surgically positioned and placed into your jawbone beneath the gums. Because the lightweight and strong titanium implants fuse so readily to bone, they provide stable, lifetime support for prosthetic teeth. Implants can be done for a single tooth, multiple individual teeth, to secure a bridge over multiple teeth, and to securely anchor dentures.

Dental implants deliver major advantages as compared to other restorations:

  1. Dr. Thomas’s dental implants with a CEREC restoration are virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth
  2. A dental implant offers a permanent solution to tooth loss
  3. A dental implant functions much like a real tooth, working to keep the dental arch form and your other natural teeth in place to better assist you in chewing, speaking and smiling
  4. Dental implants provide the jaw with the stimulation needed to maintain the bone you have
  5. Dental implants are stronger, more durable and last much longer than other restorations. They do not decay because they are made out of titanium, not natural tooth material
  6. Unlike a bridge, no adjacent teeth need to be prepared or ground down to hold your implant in place
  7. Dental implants are an excellent way to improve or maintain a beautiful smile and function
  8. Dental implants are also readily applicable to dentures for superior, long-term functionality
